Who can register as a visitor?
Anyone based in an African country who wants to source products from Türkiye, take on a distributorship or assess an investment opportunity:
- Importers, wholesalers and distributors
- Retail chains and e-commerce businesses
- Purchasing managers of manufacturing companies
- Investors and project developers
- Representatives of chambers, associations and business councils (as delegations)
Every registration is verified
Every registration is verified by company, position and country of residence. This verification is what makes Turkish companies take your meeting seriously and what makes matching work.

Registration steps
Six steps from the form to your badge
What happens at each step, and who does what, is clear from the start.

Form
Complete the visitor registration form; state your product groups, what you are looking to buy and, if you have one, your agent code.

Verification and proforma
Our team or your agent contacts you as soon as possible, verifies the registration and sends a proforma for the package you chose.

Payment and confirmation
Once payment is received, your participation is confirmed; you receive written confirmation together with the cancellation and refund terms.

Matching
Your purchasing interests are matched with exhibitors’ product groups; your meeting schedule is shared with you before the forum.

Travel preparation
You arrange your visa application and flight; if included in your package, hotel and transfer details are sent in writing.

Visas
Clear information on visas
What we do, and what we do not do, is set out plainly below.
Whether you need a visa to enter Türkiye depends on the country of your passport. For current and binding information, rely on the Embassy or Consulate General of the Republic of Türkiye in your country and the official sources of the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
GIB Forum does not issue visas, does not apply for visas on your behalf and gives no guarantee that a visa will be granted. The decision rests solely with the relevant consulate.
Participants whose registration and payment are complete may, on request, receive a letter confirming their participation in the forum. This letter is only one of the documents a consulate may ask for; it does not affect the outcome of your application and is not issued before payment is complete.
We recommend completing your registration early so that you can apply for your visa in good time.
The cancellation and refund terms that apply if your visa application is refused are shared in writing at registration.

- A passport with sufficient remaining validity
- A completed visa application form and a biometric photo
- A letter from your employer or company
- Travel health insurance
- Flight and accommodation bookings
- Proof of financial means
- GIB Forum participation confirmation letter (after registration and payment, on request)
Travel and accommodation
Flights, hotel and transfer: who does what?
Responsibility for every travel item is set out in writing from the start; no service that is not confirmed in writing is part of your package.
Flights
Flight booking and tickets are the participant’s responsibility. GIB Forum does not provide flights and gives no flight guarantee.
Accommodation
Accommodation is provided only in packages that include it, and only at the hotel confirmed in writing. In other packages you arrange your own stay; we share a list of nearby hotels for information only.
Airport transfer
Airport transfer is arranged only in the relevant package and according to the flight time you report. The transfer terms are stated in the written confirmation.
Travel health insurance
Travel health insurance is recommended and is mandatory for some visa applications.

Frequently asked questions
What is an agent code?
The code given to you by the GIB Forum agent in your country. If you enter it on the form, your agent follows up your registration. If you do not have one, leave it blank; our team will handle it directly.
Who arranges the meetings?
The GIB Forum team. We match the purchasing interests from your registration with exhibitors’ product groups and put the appointments both sides confirm into the calendar.
Which language will my meetings be in?
Turkish and English are the main languages; on request, language support is planned for meetings.
Can I come with colleagues?
Yes; each person registers separately. For delegation registrations, write to partnerships@gibforum.com.
How do I pay?
By bank transfer to the account stated on the proforma. The currency and payment details are stated on the proforma.
What if I cancel?
Cancellation and refund terms are shared in writing at registration and form part of the proforma.
